Mark graduated with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales in 1978 and in the same year he was admitted to practise as a solicitor in New South Wales.

Mark is the managing partner of Verekers with overall responsibility for the management and direction of the firm.

After graduation Mark joined the Wollongong office of Verekers and shortly after its opening in 1982 Mark joined the Sydney office of the firm for the express purpose of becoming entirely focused on commercial law.

Mark primarily practises in the areas of business law and property law giving advice to a broad range of corporate and business clients.

Typical examples of the type of work Mark has recently been involved with include:

• Several large scale property acquisitions and sales and joint ventures for existing buildings and development sites.
• Disputes between shareholders in companies.
• Disputes between joint venture participants.
• Business acquisitions and sales.
• Negotiating with ASIC on behalf of clients.
• Litigation in Land and Environment Court.
